Tres Leche, or "three milks" in Spanish, is a classic Latin American dessert that brings indulgence to new heights. This scrumptious cake is soaked in a mixture of three different types of milk: whole milk, condensed milk, and heavy cream. The result is a moist, decadent treat that melts in your mouth with every bite. Traditionally light and airy, Tres Leche cake embodies the spirit of celebration and is often served at birthdays, weddings, and festive gatherings.

Ingredients

2 cups salted butter
2 ½ cups granulated sugar divided
½ cup late season maple sugar
6 large eggs
4 tsp Lavender vanilla bourbon extract divided
4 ½ cups all purpose flour
½ tsp salt
14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
½ cup whole milk
¼ water
1/8 cup lavender buds
1 cup heavy cream
confectioners sugar to finish

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 300 degree
In a stand mixer with paddle attachment mix butter and 1.5 cups of granulated sugar and ½ cup late maple sugar for 3-4 minutes until light and creamy. Add eggs, one at a time until each is fully incorporated, and then add 2 tsp vanilla bourbon extract, scraping down sides of bowl frequently .
In a separate mixing bowl add flour and salt and whisk together well. In another bowl whisk together can of condensed milk and ½ cup of whole milk with 2 tsp of Lavender vanilla bourbon extract.
Add flour and milk mixture to the creamed butter and sugar alternating back and forth from flour to milk just until fully incorporated.
Pour batter into a greased bundt pan for 1.5 hours or until wooden pick comes out clean.
While cake is baking, bring to a boil ¼ cup of water and 1 cup of sugar with 1/8 cup of lavender buds. Remove from heat and whisk in 1 cup of heavy cream and 2 tsp of lavender vanilla bourbon extract. Cool completely. Strain out lavender buds.
While cake is still in the pan and is still warm to the touch, poke several holes in the the top. Pour half of the sugar and cream mixture onto the top. Cool. Flip cake onto a wire rack and repeat the process with the remainder of sugar and cream. Before serving. Dust with confectioners sugar.
