Lavender Essential Oil & Lavender Extract | Lavender Life Company
Lavender Life Company offers two exceptional lavender products: certified organic English lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia) and our own farm-crafted lavender extract made from English lavender buds we grow right here on our organic farm. These are two different products made two different ways — and we want you to know exactly what you’re getting with each one.
English Lavender vs. French Lavender: Why It Matters
Not all lavender is the same. Many mass-market lavender products — including popular brands like Warmies — use French lavender (Lavandula stoechas or Lavandula x intermedia), which has a sharper, more camphor-heavy scent. At Lavender Life Company, we grow and use exclusively English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) — the sweeter, more floral, and more therapeutically prized variety. It’s gentler, more fragrant, and the gold standard for both aromatherapy and culinary use.
- Our lavender is English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) — not French
- Sweeter, softer, more floral aroma than French or hybrid varieties
- Grown organically on our own American farm
- The preferred species for both therapeutic aromatherapy and culinary use
Our Lavender Extract: Truly Farm-to-Bottle
Our lavender extract starts on our farm. We grow English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) organically, harvest the buds at peak bloom, and craft our alcohol-based extract from those same farm-grown buds. No glycerin. No fillers. Just pure lavender in every drop.
Our lavender extract is fully culinary-grade and can be used freely in any cooking, baking, or specialty drinks.
- Made from English lavender buds grown on our own organic farm
- Alcohol-based — no glycerin, no fillers
- Small-batch crafted for maximum flavor and quality
- Fully culinary-grade — safe for all food and beverage applications
- Rich, authentic lavender flavor in every drop
Ways to Use Our Lavender Extract
- Baking — Shortbread, cakes, scones, muffins, and pastries
- Specialty drinks — Lavender lattes, lemonade, cocktails, and mocktails
- Desserts — Ice cream, whipped cream, panna cotta, and crème brülée
- Savory cooking — Marinades, glazes, sauces, and vinaigrettes

Our Certified Organic English Lavender Essential Oil
We also carry certified organic lavender essential oil — pure Lavandula angustifolia (English lavender), bottled to the highest quality standards. Because it is the Lavandula angustifolia species, it can be used sparingly in food — though it is highly concentrated and just 1–2 drops is all you need.
- Certified organic — meets rigorous organic standards
- English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) — sweeter and more therapeutic than French varieties
- Aromatherapy & diffusers — Calming, stress-relieving, and sleep-supporting
- Topical use — Diluted in a carrier oil for skin, massage, and hair care
- Culinary use — Can be used very sparingly in food (1–2 drops max — it is very potent)
- Home & DIY — Linen sprays, soaps, candles, and natural cleaners
