Lavender Tea | Farm-Grown English Lavender Tea Blends

Farm-grown English lavender stalks in full bloom against blue sky - Lavender Life Company

There is something genuinely different about a cup of lavender tea made with real, farm-grown English lavender. The scent alone tells you — this is the real thing. Our lavender tea blends are crafted from Lavandula angustifolia (English lavender) buds grown and dried right here on our farm, then thoughtfully blended to create teas that taste as good as they smell.

This isn't lavender flavoring or lavender extract added to a generic base. These are whole and chopped lavender buds, paired with complementary herbs and botanicals, blended with care to bring you a cup that is calming, flavorful, and genuinely therapeutic.

Why English Lavender Makes a Better Tea

Not all lavender is the same — and when it comes to tea, that distinction really matters. English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is naturally high in linalool and linalyl acetate, two compounds that research has linked to measurable calming and sleep-supporting effects. These are the same compounds that make English lavender the gold standard in aromatherapy.

French lavender varieties, by contrast, are significantly lower in these compounds — which means they bring the fragrance without much of the functional benefit. If you are drinking lavender tea for relaxation or better sleep, the variety you choose matters. Our teas are made exclusively with English lavender, the variety with the science behind it.

Linalool interacts with GABA receptors in the brain — the same receptors targeted by many anti-anxiety medications — in a way that promotes calm without sedation. A warm cup of real English lavender tea at the end of the day is not just pleasant. It is a real ritual with real effects.

Grown on Our Farm. Dried with Care.

Our lavender buds are grown on our farm and dried at the peak of bloom to preserve their oils, fragrance, and flavor. We do not use synthetic fragrance, pesticides, or additives. What you steep in your cup is pure, clean lavender — nothing added, nothing artificial.

Farm-grown lavender tastes distinctly different from commercially processed lavender. It is brighter, more floral, and more aromatic because the buds haven't sat in a warehouse or traveled across the world before reaching you.

How to Brew the Perfect Cup

Lavender tea is forgiving and easy to brew well:

  • Use water just off the boil — around 195 to 205°F
  • Steep for 5 to 7 minutes for a full, flavorful cup
  • Add honey to taste — raw honey and lavender are a natural pairing
  • Try it iced for a beautiful, calming summer drink
  • Blend with lemon, chamomile, or mint for your own custom blend

Our lavender extract also pairs beautifully with tea — a few drops into any herbal blend adds depth and aroma without overpowering.

Uses Beyond the Cup

Our lavender tea blends are not just for drinking. The dried buds and blends can be used in:

  • Baking — infuse into cream, butter, or sugar for lavender-flavored pastries
  • Simple syrups — steep and strain to make a floral lavender simple syrup for cocktails and mocktails
  • Specialty lattes — brew strong and layer into a latte with steamed oat or almond milk
  • Bath soaks — add a bag to your bath for aromatherapy benefits
  • Sleep sachets — tuck a tea bag under your pillow for gentle lavender aromatherapy overnight
